Northern Key Worker Timetables (24th March 2020)

Release from Northern (24th March 2020)

As a result of the continuing impact of COVID-19 we will be running amended ‘Key Worker’ timetables from Tuesday 24 March.

Everyone at Northern is working to provide the best possible rail service during this difficult time, but it is simply not possible to operate our usual timetable.

Where we are not able to run trains we will seek to provide rail replacement road transport.

Though we continue to run services, The Government is advising that, if possible, you should avoid non-essential public transport use and try to avoid rush hour, varying your usual travel times to prevent crowding and if possible, work from home.

If you are showing any Coronavirus symptoms, however mild, you should self-isolate along with other members of your household. The latest Public Health England advice is available here.

We will continue to do all we can and hope you will also continue to play your part when travelling on Northern services.

We are operating the railway for key workers to support the national effort. Please only travel if your journey is absolutely essential under the new government guidance.
